Principle dentist

Sonal is a Graduate of Edinburgh University and holds a postgraduate degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
She has a special interest in the treatment of tooth wear and advanced restorative dentistry including implants. She has a special interest in Acupuncture. Using this to treat patients who have jaw related pain and headaches.
Outside work interests include Pilates, walking, cooking (and eating) a variety of cuisines.

DDS MD PhD. Qualified 1992. Graduated in 1992 from Leipzig University (Germany).

He managed his own general dental practice for 20 years and provided a comprehensive range of dental treatments to an excellent standard including endodontics and advanced restorative dentistry.
Olaf continued his dental studies and in 2002 he obtained a PhD from Leipzig University. He also holds a post graduate degree in endodontics from the Dental Association of Saxony, Germany.
Olaf is fluent in English and German.
Olaf has a special interest in Endodontics and enjoys using the Zeiss dental microscope at Terrace Dental Care.

Shin is a graduate of King’s College London and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has a passion for public health and is also a member of the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry.
In his spare time he enjoys running around on the Hockey with his team in Cambridge.

Neil graduated from Newcastle University in 2017. He is constantly developing his skills and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
Outside of work, Neil enjoys exploring new restaurants, diving into a good book, and looking after his mischievous puppy, Bailey.

Dimitra graduated in 2006 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and was awarded her Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008.
She subsequently worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Sussex and in private practice in Kent as well as in Athens, Greece.
In 2015 she completed her specialist training in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute in London and went on to be awarded a Membership in Restorative Dentistry.
Dimitra is registered on the GDC’s Specialist List for Periodontics. Her interest in Periodontics stems from the perception that changing patients’ attitude towards oral hygiene and optimising the periodontal tissues set the foundations for achieving oral health and are vital steps before proceeding to advanced dental treatments.
Physiotherapist

Anett was granted permission to be a physiotherapist in 2003 in Leipzig (Germany) and managed her own physiotherapy practice for nearly ten years providing physiotherapy and other complimentary therapies including reflexology.
Anett then commenced advanced training for the treatment of jaw joint problems as part of a joint approach with dental professionals in treating patients in 2014.
Anett is fluent in English and German.

Lydia joined our practice in 2006 after qualifying from Edinburgh Dental Institute.
Wanting to create positivity and reduce anxiety around dentistry is something Lydia really cares about. Helping people improve their oral health and hygiene is why she became a hygienist.
Lydia enjoys her spare time with many activities including Yoga, walking, crafting and spending time with family friends and her 3 cats Ziva, Jemima and Temperance.

Ingrid joined the Practice in January 2023, originally from Brazil, Ingrid has a wealth of experience in both UK and Brazil where she has previously worked for the military as well as her own Practice.
In her spare time Ingrid enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Becca stumbled into the dental profession while still at school. Her elder sister who was a dental nurse needed help on Saturdays and in the school holidays.
Since then Becca has worked in many practices from Harley Street to Wayland Prison, but for the last 19 years she has been part of the team at Terrace.
In the last 40 years the only break from dentistry was when having her two children. Who have given her four beautiful grandchildren that she enjoys spending her spare time with.
“Starting out as teenager we didn’t wear gloves or masks but with the arrival of AIDS the need to wear gloves and masks became apparent.
Since then cross infection has been improving all the time and now with the arrival of Covid-19 dentists and their nurses have had a total make over.
We are now gowning up like astronauts but it’s still the same caring people underneath that want to do the best for you in an environment that is safe for all.”- Becca
Dental nurse
Sue is an experienced dental nurse and assists the clinicians.
GDC No. 124953
Sue is one of our longer standing Dental Nurses with 20 years of experience.
She came into dentistry by accident, by supporting a dentist friend who was short staffed, she found she loved it and never looked back.
In her spare time she enjoys long walks with her dogs deep in the local countryside, live music and gardening.

BA (Hons) English Literature- Anglia Ruskin 2012
Jo joined The Terrace as a receptionist in 2013 after completing her English Literature degree the year earlier. She is the Well-known face of the Practice and well loved by our patients.
Having previously worked in optics, dentistry was a new experience to her.
Her passion for the role is clear, as she loves working with people whether colleagues or patients. Jo thrives learning new things within dentistry and supporting the Clinicians and nurses to treat the patients.
When not at the Practice Jo enjoys spending time with her family and friends, particularly with her 2 boys who keep her very busy. When she gets some quiet time, she reads a good book or does a cross-stitch.
Reception team
Helle joined the practice in August 2022, originally from Frederiksberg, Denmark, she previously worked in Human Resources and has CIPD level 5 diploma in this field, Helle has a passion for people and efficiency when it comes to work.
Outside the practice Helle enjoys travelling, reading, playing golf and spending time with her family.

Lorna joined the practice in April 2022 having previously attended the University of Lincoln where she achieved a Bachelor of Science Psychology degree.
Lorna has a real flair for attention to detail and getting it right for the patient first time.
Outside the practice Lorna has a real passion for make-up, attending music concerts and festivals and her love of animals.
