Principle dentist

Sonal is a Graduate of Edinburgh University and holds a postgraduate degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
She has a special interest in the treatment of tooth wear and advanced restorative dentistry including implants. She has a special interest in Acupuncture. Using this to treat patients who have jaw related pain and headaches.
Outside work interests include Pilates, walking, travelling cooking (and eating) a variety of cuisines.
Associate dentist
DDS MD PhD. Qualified 1992. Graduated in 1992 from Leipzig University (Germany).

He managed his own general dental practice for 20 years and provided a comprehensive range of dental treatments to an excellent standard including endodontics and advanced restorative dentistry.
Olaf continued his dental studies and in 2002 he obtained a PhD from Leipzig University. He also holds a post graduate degree in endodontics from the Dental Association of Saxony, Germany.
Olaf is fluent in English and German.
Olaf has a special interest in Endodontics and enjoys using the Zeiss dental microscope at Terrace Dental Care.

Shin is a graduate of King’s College London and is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has a passion for public health and is also a member of the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry.
Shin provides a friendly and relaxing environment for his patients and is great at making our younger patients feel more comfortable at the dentist whilst continuing to provide them with excellent care!
In his spare time he enjoys running around on the Hockey pitch with his team in Cambridge, spending time with friends and family, as well as being a massive foodie.

Neil graduated from Newcastle University in 2017. He is constantly developing his skills and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
He is a qualified Implantologist, and has a special interest in being able to offer this to patients who are seeking a solution to missing teeth, and the difference it can make to their smiles.
Outside of work, Neil enjoys exploring new restaurants, diving into a good book, and looking after his mischievous puppy, Bailey.

Dimitra graduated in 2006 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and was awarded her Membership with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008.
She subsequently worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Sussex and in private practice in Kent as well as in Athens, Greece.
In 2015 she completed her specialist training in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute in London and went on to be awarded a Membership in Restorative Dentistry.
Dimitra is registered on the GDC’s Specialist List for Periodontics. Her interest in Periodontics stems from the perception that changing patients’ attitude towards oral hygiene and optimising the periodontal tissues set the foundations for achieving oral health and are vital steps before proceeding to advanced dental treatments.
Associate Oral surgeon

Shemma qualified from the University of Bristol in 2001. She then gained experience in general practice for the next 3 years and while doing so gained the qualification of MFGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons, England and Further Professional Training from Eastern Deanery.
Following this Shemma worked at Peterborough Hospital in the Oral Surgery Department, rising to the level of Staff Grade. Shemma had her own lists of complex oral surgery, including surgical wisdom tooth extractions, apicectomies, biopsies and extractions under general anaesthetic. She also assisted in maxillofacial procedures such as fractured mandibles, oncology and orthognathic surgery. During this time Shemma further expanded her qualifications with Full MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
Shemma then returned to general practice for a further 6 years before gaining level 2 accreditation to provide Oral Surgery procedures as a Dentist with Special Interest (DWSI).
After running these two careers in parallel for 2 years Shemma then left general practice to concentrate on her Oral Surgery career and to start a family. Shemma is now the proud mother of 3 beautiful boys.
Shemma has had a paper published in The British Journal of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery and won the Regional BDA Prize for the best audit paper.
In her spare time, Shemma enjoys spending time with her family and all things fitness, recently completing her first HYROX!
Physiotherapist
Health and care profession council (HCPC) registered
Anett was granted permission to be a physiotherapist in 2003 in Leipzig (Germany) and managed her own physiotherapy practice for nearly ten years providing physiotherapy and other complimentary therapies including reflexology.
Anett then commenced advanced training for the treatment of jaw joint problems as part of a joint approach with dental professionals in treating patients in 2014.
Anett is fluent in English and German.
Dental hygienist

Lydia joined our practice in 2006 after qualifying from Edinburgh Dental Institute.
Wanting to create positivity and reduce anxiety around dentistry is something Lydia really cares about and helping people improve their oral health and hygiene is why she became a hygienist. Outside of work, Lydia enjoys being creative through crafts and pottery. She loves to spend time with her family and is a big cat lover!

Katy began her career in dentistry in 2016 as a Dental Nurse, where she discovered her passion for oral health promotion. In 2024, she graduated from Teesside University with a first-class degree in Dental Hygiene.
Katy is dedicated to creating a friendly and relaxed environment for her patients. She focuses on motivating and educating them to enhance their oral health. A strong advocate for a holistic approach to care, Katy believes that positive changes in oral health can significantly benefit her patients' overall well-being and confidence.
In her spare time, Katy loves exploring national parks and hiking with her energetic dog, Bailey, and her partner, Mike. She also enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Dental hygienist

Liz is a friendly and caring dental hygienist, who qualified from the University of Essex in 2013.
Originally starting her career in the Royal Air Force, decided that a career change was in order and has enjoyed dental hygiene ever since.
Prior to joining the Terrace team in January 2024, Liz has worked at practices throughout Suffolk that have specialised in periodontal diseases and has so far had great success at treating patients with this condition.
In her spare time, Liz enjoys seeing family and friends, painting and writing, and has even published her own book!
Head Dental nurse
Diploma from The National Examining Board for Dental Nurses in 1999.

Becca stumbled into the dental profession while still at school. Her elder sister who was a dental nurse needed help on Saturdays and in the school holidays.
Since then Becca has worked in many practices from Harley Street to Wayland Prison, but since August 2001, she has been a part of the team at Terrace Dental.
Outside of work, Becca enjoys spending time with her ever growing family, including children, grandchildren and animals! She loves gardening and teaming up with her brother every week to play cards.
Dental nurse
Sue is an experienced dental nurse and assists the clinicians.

Sue is one of our longer standing Dental Nurses with 20 years of experience.
She came into dentistry by accident, by supporting a dentist friend who was short staffed, she found she loved it and never looked back.
In her spare time she enjoys long walks with her dogs deep in the local countryside, live music and gardening.
Trainee Dental Nurse
Daisie joined the practice in February 2024, having already joined a dental nursing course. Since then, she has fit in incredibly within the practice dynamic. She has developed her skills and is hoping to qualify in April 2025 after completing her exams.
In her spare time, Daisie regularly attends the gym and enjoys exercising. She loves to cook and spend time doing fun things with her family, which includes her partner and her kitten, Freddie!
Practice Manager

Chloe has been the Practice Manager at The Terrace since September 2023, bringing over 11 years of experience in dentistry. Her career journey spans various roles, including dental nursing, reception, and treatment coordination, culminating in her current managerial role. With a deep passion for delivering above-and-beyond care to patients, she has found her professional home at The Terrace, where she thrives on fostering a welcoming and patient-centered environment.
Outside of work, she enjoys a simple, fulfilling life, spending quality time with her partner and children on family-focused weekends.
Treatment Coordinator/Receptionist
Lorna joined the practice as a receptionist, in April 2022, having previously attended the University of Lincoln where she achieved a Bachelor of Science Psychology degree.
Since working at the practice, she has developed her skills and splits her time between reception work and supporting both clinicians and patients as Treatment Coordinator. She prides herself on getting things right for the patient and successfully juggling the diary of our busy practice.
Outside of work, Lorna regularly attends music concerts and theatre productions. She loves to cook for her family and spend time with her fur-babies!
Head Receptionist
Jo joined The Terrace as a receptionist in 2013 after completing her English Literature degree the year earlier. Having previously worked in optics, dentistry was a new experience to her.
She loves working with people, both colleagues and patients and brings positive energy every time she is in the practice.
In her own time Jo enjoys doing fun things with her family, particularly with her 3 boys who keep her very busy. When she gets some quiet time, she reads a good book or spends time with friends, attending theatre productions and music concerts.
Reception team
Helle joined the practice in August 2022, originally from Frederiksberg, Denmark, she previously worked in Human Resources and has CIPD level 5 diploma in this field, Helle has a passion for people and efficiency when it comes to work.
Outside the practice Helle enjoys travelling, reading, playing golf and spending time with her family.
